Waitaha Earth Gathering 2020

in Aotearoa New Zealand

2020 is the year of the Silver Dragon, and it is the year of the celebration of the sacred Grandmother . Earth, Papatuanuku to our ancient elders, who called her the darling of the sky father Ranginui. They fell madly in love with each other and had many children. These children were the elemental beings who by way of personality and temperament gave the world the order and disorder that is personified in the natural and unatural world of our people.

For the ancient Wananga or Learning House of Waitaha, we carry the image of the Matriarch, and within this image, we construct our traditional beliefs that have us worshipping the image of creation,

It is the hope of the Grandfather Council, that our respective speakers will give outlines of the last fifty years of Earth Practises in their respective countries that will outline the nature of the developments, the degrading of the lands, waters and people and other matters that have happened in their view of what has taken place over the last fifty years of humankind and its impact on Grandmother Earth.

We look forward with excitement to the reports of this group of speakers, who in their own capacity  are experts in their own lives, and that is the secret of our Nation. We have long grown tired of the intellectual argument, thesis, and observations, we in fact have reverted back to listening to the cross section of individuals who have shown through their lives that they are connected to the reality of life and all that it means to them. We do not care for the greater or the lesser, rather we care for the real, the person, the very core of their being, is the very essence of what we are searching for.

We commend all of our speakers to you with all of our love and blessings, may we all arrive at the doorway of love, peace, truth and rspect at the same time. Nga manaakitanga, me te mana o Papatuanuku ki a koe...

Return of the Ancient Earth Ceremonies

2nd-7th February 2020 in Kaikohe Northland New Zealand

Grand Mother Earth time is a truly exciting time to be alive in, what a blessing it is for those of us who have seen the seasons and time pass by with no thought that we would one day become the elders of the tribes. This is indeed a humorous notion but one that today is indeed a fact.

Welcome home again dearest family of the Nations of the world, welcome home to the Golden Dragon families who have returned again to our homeland of the Silver Dragon. We are waiting for the Elder brothers and sisters to bring back the magic of the great and the small. It is indeed a great pleasure to be hosting this sacred time here in the heart of the Wakaminenga o Nga Rangatira i nga whenua raro mai Hauraki.

Our \Elders will share with you the ceremonies of the Earth Mother, who has given to our people of Waitaha the care of the Colors of The Earth, where you will participate in the prayer circles of the ancient ones, the sharing of the colored sands, clays, rocks, and importantly the waters and the people.

We want you to relax and to become one with the spirit of the Mother Earth, whose spirit we believe resides in those whom she chooses. If you are one such lucky person, it will be our privilege to help you to take the spirit and use it for the good of all Nations.

Born in Arapawa New Zealand, 1943 at the time when most of the magic of the ancestors was being driven underground by the European Churches and The Department of Education.

Te Porohau was a student of his Grandfathers William Nehua Karupatene Ruka Te Korakora and Perenara Hone Harris. The extent of this studentship enabled Te Porohau to see and to hear of the mysteries and secrets of the world of his ancestors, faithfully keeping the secrets for his own children and mokopuna to learn and to hear, thus passing the knowledge on into the future of the Waitaha Nation.
